Unconditional Love:
Emulating God's Love in Our Lives

As believers, we are called to love as God loves. 

This means loving unconditionally, without limit or reservation. 

However, loving beyond our own capabilities can be difficult. How do we learn to love in this way?

One way to learn to love beyond limits is by studying and meditating on God’s word. 

In the Bible, we see countless examples of God’s love for us, despite our faults and shortcomings. 

By understanding and internalising His love, we can begin to love others in the same way.

“We love because he first loved us.”

1 John 4:19

Another way to learn to love beyond limits is by spending time in prayer. 

Through prayer, we can ask for the guidance and strength to love as God loves. 

We can also thank Him for His love and ask for the ability to love others as He loves us.

“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”

Ephesians 6:18

Let Us Pray

Dear Lord, we acknowledge that loving as you love is difficult. 

We ask for your guidance and strength to love beyond our own capabilities. 

Help us to study and meditate on your word, and to spend time in prayer, asking for the ability to love others as you love us. 

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
