You Are Mine, My Beloved

My dear child, how precious you are to me. You are mine, my beloved. I have known you before you were even formed in your mother’s womb, and I have loved you with an everlasting love.

You may not always feel worthy of my love, but I assure you, my love for you is not based on your performance or your worthiness. It is based on the fact that you are mine.

“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.”

Jeremiah 31:3

My love for you is unchanging and unconditional. I love you even in your darkest moments, when you feel lost and alone. I love you even when you make mistakes and fail.

My love for you is also evident in the fact that I sent my son Jesus to die for your sins. He bore the punishment that you deserved, so that you could be forgiven and have eternal life.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” 

John 3:16

This is how much I love you. I gave my best for you, so that you could have the best.

You may not always understand my ways or my plans, but trust in me. I am working all things together for your good. I am molding and shaping you into the person I created you to be.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Romans 8:28

I have a purpose and a plan for your life, and I am faithful to bring it to pass.

I want you to know that you are mine, my beloved. I want you to rest in my love and to trust in my plans for your life. I want you to walk in freedom and to live in the knowledge of my love for you.

Let Us Pray

Dear Lord, we thank you for your love. 

We thank you for the fact that we are yours and that you love us unconditionally.

We are sorry for the times we have doubted your love for us and for the times we have tried to earn it. 

Help us to trust in your ways and plans for our lives. 

We want to rest in your love, to walk in freedom and to live in the knowledge of your love for us. 

We love you and we trust in you. 

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
