Answering the Call:
Recognising and Responding to God's Personal Invitation

Have you ever felt a sense of longing or restlessness in your heart, as if there is something more that you are meant to do or be? 

It could be that God is calling you by name.

God has a unique plan and purpose for each of our lives, and He is constantly calling us to join Him in fulfilling it. 

However, it is important to recognise and respond to His call.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Jeremiah 29:11

One way to recognise and respond to God’s call is by seeking Him in prayer and studying His word. 

As we spend time in His presence, He will reveal His plans and purposes for our lives.

“But as for you, the word of the Lord came to you: ‘This is what the Lord says: You must not marry and have sons or daughters in this place.'”

Jeremiah 16:1-2

Another way is by being open to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. 

As we listen to His voice, He will guide us and give us the courage to step out in faith and answer God’s call.

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”

Romans 8:14

Let Us Pray

Dear Lord, we acknowledge that recognising and responding to your call can be difficult. 

We ask for your guidance in seeking you in prayer and studying your word, so that you may reveal your plans and purposes for our lives. 

Help us to be open to the promptings of the Holy Spirit, and give us the courage to step out in faith and answer your call. 

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
